NIDECKER Women's Altai-W Snowboard Boots Black 2024

The Altai-W is the centrepiece of our new women’s boot collection, offering premium features and freeride-friendly support at an unbeatable price. It’s built around an asymmetrical upper that fits perfectly with Nidecker and Flow binding straps, eliminating pressure points. The Dual BOA lacing system features textile-coated laces and twin dials to allow you to control the upper and lower sections independently. Underneath, our lightweight B.F.T Gravity 2.0 outsole delivers awesome cushioning and traction, with a rubber toe-tip to boost grip when hiking over ice and rock.

We’ve smoothed out the connection between the outsole and the boot via a molded section we call the Transition Zone, eliminating the usual hard edge to prevent it from getting caught in your binding’s heelcup. A tough rubber print on the toe box protects the boot and adds a touch more style. Inside, we’ve introduced a cosy new Silver liner made from the snuggest materials; it’s comfortable straight out the box – with good wriggle room for your toes – and heat-moldable for a custom fit. The Altai is a mid-stiff model with plenty of lateral support, making it great for laying down carves in resort or threading lines through the trees. If you love the art of the turn, you’ll love this boot.

LACING: Mid Power Dual Zone BOA - The Dual Zone Boa® uses a dial over the tongue, for strength and power to close the upper, and the mid-power dial on the side to close the lower. This configuration provides independent zonal adjustment, snug fit and perfect support. Effortless and fast, the M4 Coiler quickly takes up lace slack, increasing speed of entry into the boot. Ready for anything, designed to withstand. 

LINER: Silver Heat Moldable Liner - Fully redesigned, this liner is pressure-point free; closure happens via the cuff attached to the shell inner. This also makes the liner a breeze to get on and off. To prevent tongue rotation, we’ve added Velcro patches on both sides to keep everything in place. There’s a Custom Flex Zone around the toes for wiggle room, 8mm of PE foam and added PU support around the outsides for extra stiffness.

FOOTBED: 3D Molded Dual Density Footbed - An extra layer of high-density EVA supports the deep heel cup and anatomical arch, while comfort EVA offers more flexibility to the forefoot. Silicone top-print adds traction to the fleece-lined footbed.

OUTSOLE: Gravity + - This outsole comes with a full EVA bed for natural cushioning. We also added a soft rubber toe tip for extra grip. And if you look at the lugs, we got inspiration from the treads you see on snowcats. The result? Maximum comfort and awesome grip

3D Molded Tongue - The asymmetrical tongue is 3D molded and curved towards the medial side, following the naturally raised ridgeline of your forefoot to alleviate pressure points and give a more balanced feel of comfort and support. An anatomically correct and asymmetrical tongue performs better than a standard straight one

3D Molded Toebox - This 3D toebox eliminates extra layers and seams around the forefoot for durablility and a streamlined, bulk-free design. It also makes easier to slide in and out of your bindings

Articulating Flex Zone - The upper boot cuff is asymmetrically connected to the lower boot allowing the ankle to flex naturally while providing support without shell distortion. A thermal insulation barrier between the outsole and the bottom of the liner keeps the warmth inside and the cold outside

ASYM3F - An asymmetric shape and closure system for optimum support and flex. Aligned along the asym tongue, Boa® lace guides are asymmetrically positioned on the flatter forefoot areas for less point-loaded pressure and more even closure. Increases medial arch support to reduce foot fatigue and cramps. This Nidecker innovation is co-developed with and approved by Boa®.
