The YES Halldor is a true twin all-mountain freestyle park board built for medium to large obstacles. Designed with park in mind, Halldor rides this board in all terrain and conditions. Whether you’re into responsible carving or sending the proline.
Flex: 5/10
Technology: Y3D All Mountain Freestyle - Over the past 12 years Halldor, Eiki and the team have been snowboarding exclusively with the tested and proven Triple Base Technology aka 3BT. The basic parameters of Y3D follow that of 3BT where each base is divided into 3 flat surfaces rail to rail starting from the most outward inserts towards the tip and tail. The width of the center base and the uplift angle of the side bases define the snowboards riding characteristics. Halldor and Eiki have been refining the 3D shaping to their specific freestyle needs. The Y3D All Mountain Freestyle is your most versatile 3D shape. It will improve the “fun” factor all over the mountain generating a fast edge to edge, smooth turns and a ton of side-hit control. It excels when the snow gets deep and steep.
Shape: True Twin - A twin snowboard is symmetrically shaped, with an identical nose and tail, enabling riders to perform maneuvers and tricks with ease in both regular and switch stances. This symmetrical design ensures equal performance characteristics regardless of direction, facilitating versatile riding experiences. Ideal for freestyle riders and terrain park enthusiasts, twin snowboards enhance maneuverability, allow for seamless transitions between tricks, and promote a balanced feel. The symmetrical shape fosters a consistent and predictable ride, making it well-suited for those who enjoy riding in various directions and executing tricks with a uniform approach.
Outline: Radial - When basics are good. A radial edge is the classic snowboard, where you have the radius that draws a single circle. It’s the most basic way to turn, it will allow you to carve but you are limited in the variations of turns you can make.
Bend: Camber - Camber is the base of snowboarding: you need to have an edge hold enough to drive in and out of turns, the Camber acts as a shock absorber on cars they push the wheels into the road to enhance grip. The camber does exactly that to the edge. Allowing you to drive your turns longer and release later.
Core: Full Poplar - Poplar is known for its combination of lightweight and strength, providing a good balance for the core. Its lightweight nature contributes to the overall reduced weight of the snowboard.Additionally, poplar offers a consistent and predictable flex pattern, enhancing the board's responsiveness. The wood's durability ensures the core can withstand the stresses of riding while maintaining a desirable flex. Overall, poplar wood helps create snowboards that are lightweight, durable, and responsive, catering to a broad range of riders.
Fibreglass:Halldor Carbon Layup - This Carbon Layup configuration powers up your nose and tail from the binding area to the tips. The more power you are able to bring to your turns and jumps the more the board will deliver.
Base: Sintered - YES Snowboards' sintered bases are crafted by fusing tiny polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous, durable surface. Known for superior speed and wax absorption, these bases are favored by advanced riders for their high-performance capabilities in various snow conditions.
