YES Women's Hel Yes Snowboard 2025

Size

The Hel YES has solidified its position as a leading standard for women’s freeriding, clinching four consecutive Good Wood Awards. This snowboard boasts a directional twin layout, UnderBite outline, sintered base, and a bamboo stringer core, all contributing to Helen’s distinctive imprint on the world of women’s snowboarding. Laura Sidoruk, the artistic mind behind this masterpiece, seamlessly weaved her personal vision of the circle of life and death into the design. “I wanted to represent the duality of life and death and the cyclical nature of our environments around us. To illustrate this, I chose wolves and greenery to symbolize life, and wolves with fungi along with pieces of skeleton showing to symbolize death and how everything returns back to the earth. Connecting the two wolves is a root-like thread, bringing us back to the life cycle that is continually occurring all around us no matter what. A small reminder that life is short and to shred extra hard ;)

Flex: 7/10

Shape: Directional Twin - A directional twin snowboard combines the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a slight directional emphasis. While featuring a symmetrical shape for switch riding, it incorporates a subtle directional aspect, such as a slightly longer nose or setback stance, enhancing performance in one primary direction. This design maintains a playful feel for freestyle maneuvers while optimizing stability and control, particularly in powder or variable conditions. Ideal for riders who enjoy the park but desire enhanced performance on groomers or in specific terrains, a directional twin provides a versatile compromise between freestyle agility and directional stability.

Outline: MidBite - MidBite blends the response of a narrow waist width with the stability of a wider nose & tail. The design steps a single section of each sidecut inward between the insert packs. This single, long indention of the sidecut between the bindings creates a narrower waist width, providing quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings out to the end of the sidecut, we maintain a wider board width that improves float in pow and is a stable platform for popping, spinning and landing on any snow type.

Bend: CamRock - The response of camber with floatability of rocker. By combining camber and rocker you allow the board to be both responsive and floaty. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float.

Core: Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo - YES Snowboards' Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo core features Poplar, Paulownia and Bamboo rails. Poplar provides lightweight characteristics and consistent flex, enhancing maneuverability. Paulownia, even lighter, maintains strength with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. Bamboo adds durability and responsiveness. This blend ensures optimal weight reduction, responsiveness, and performance, making YES Snowboards perfect for various styles and conditions.

Fibreglass:Biax - Biaxial or "Biax" fiberglass consists of fibers running in two directions, typically along the length and width of the board. This construction provides a balanced flex pattern, making the snowboard more forgiving and easier to control. It enhances torsional flexibility, allowing for smoother turns and maneuvers, which is particularly beneficial for riders who prioritize a playful and versatile riding experience rather than aggressive performance.w25

Base: Sintered True -Just like it says. Pellets or course powder is pressed until it forms a solid. There are several suppliers for our entire industry and they each have different codes for them, depending on the color and transparency. These codes can make it seem like you’re getting many different kinds and grades of sintered but they’re all pretty much the same as far as you and I will ever tell. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded and it can be faster for those that ride aggressively fast. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
